Electronic Air Cleaners High Efficient Electronic Air Cleaners remove airborne contaminants as small as 0.1 micron (1/2,540,000 of an inch). This is ideal for smokers, as smoke is the smallest pollution particle. The furnace blower moves the dirty air throughout the house into the electronic air cleaner. The pre-filter first removes all of the larger particulate matter. Smaller particles are then given a powerful positive electrical charge. These charged particles are then attracted to the grounded plates where they adhere like a magnet until washed away during cleaning.
