Humidifiers
To humidify the air, you need heat, air movement and the presence of water for evaporation. What sets Generalaire humidifiers apart is their efficiency and economy of operation in using this basic principle to add comfort to your home.
Flow-Through Models
A portion of the heated air from the furnace passes through a water-soaked pad where it absorbs additional moisture and then returns for distribution throughout your home. Water is metered into a patented trough and dispersed uniformly across the pad. Unevaporated water drains form the bottom of the unit to eliminate mineral build-up. Evaporative capacities range up to 27 GPD (Gallons per day).

Reservoir (Drum Type) Models
Heated air passes through a water-laden evaporator sleeve, absorbs moisture and then returns to the heating system for distribution throughout your home. The evaporator sleeve picks up water as it slowly rotates in a reservoir of water. An automatic float valve controls the water level in the reservoir. Evaporative capacities range up to 22 GPD (Gallons per day).

Duct Mount Model
This humidifier is perfect where a plenum installation is impractical or impossible. The model fits all forced air heating systems, including heat pumps, and mounts horizontally in the warm air duct. The water-soaked, rotating drum has a large surface area for maximum absorption. Evaporative capacity is up to 19 GPD (Gallons per day).
