A conventional furnace is either "off" or "on" at 100% capacity depending on the demand for heat.. The Ruud Silhouette II Plus 2 furnace is either "off", "on" at 70% or "on" at 100%. So for the majority of days you use your furnace, the furnace conserves energy by operating at the lower 70% level. And then, on the coldest days when you require more heat, the furnace operates at 100% capacity. This results in far better utilization of natural gas and lower energy bills.
Choose between Upflow/Horizontal or Downflow units for installation flexibility.
